Who we are

Holiday Home Scout is a property discovery platform operated by Hask, a sole proprietorship registered in Belgium. We curate European properties for buyers looking for holiday homes, from medieval castles to country houses.

What data we collect

We collect minimal data to operate this website:

• Server logs: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. These are stored for up to 30 days for security and performance purposes.
• Newsletter subscriptions: If you subscribe, we store your email address solely for sending property updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Search queries: On-site search is processed client-side using Fuse.js. No search data is sent to our servers.

We do not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar third-party tracking tools.

External services

This website uses the following external services:

• Google Fonts: We load DM Serif Display and DM Sans fonts from Google's CDN. Google may log your IP address when fonts are loaded. See Google's privacy policy.
• CartoDB / OpenStreetMap: Our interactive map loads tiles from CartoDB, which may log IP addresses. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors.

Property data

Property listings displayed on this site are aggregated from publicly available sources including real estate portals across Europe. We provide links to the original listings for verification. Prices, availability, and details may change without notice. Holiday Home Scout is not a real estate agent and does not facilitate transactions.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

• Access any personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for newsletter communications
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Data security

This website is served over HTTPS. We do not store sensitive personal data beyond what is described above. Server infrastructure is hosted in the EU (Hetzner, Germany).
